Tom Sanchez was a 2014 Democratic candidate seeking election to the U.S. House to represent the 33rd Congressional District of Texas.[1]


Sanchez served in the US Marine Corps as a field radio operator from 1973 to 1976. He then earned a degree in electrical engineering form Southern Illinois University in 1979. He began working in the private sector as an engineer in 1981. During this time he earned a Juris Doctorate from Chicago Kent College of Law. In 2001, Sanchez joined Research In Motion (Blackberry).[2]

Sanchez ran in the 2014 election for the U.S. House to represent Texas' 33rd District. Sanchez sought the Democratic nomination in the primary on March 4, 2014. The general election took place November 4, 2014.
