Tom W. Shaw is a Republican member of the Iowa House of Representatives, representing District 10 since 2013. He previously represented District 8 from 2011 to 2013.

Shaw served 20 years in the U.S. Navy from 1982 to 2002. After retiring from the Navy, he joined the Laurens, IA police department and worked his way up to chief of police by 2006. Shaw holds an A.A. in Criminal Justice.

Shaw ran in the 2012 election for Iowa House of Representatives District 10. Shaw defeated Maison Bleam in the Republican primary on June 5, 2012. No Democratic candidates filed in the district. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]
