A Traverse City Light & Power Facility Purchase Question was on the November 2, 2010 ballot in the city of Traverse, which is in Grand Traverse County.

This measure was approved

  • YES 4,085 (73.12%)Approveda
  • NO 1,502 (26.88%)[1]

This measure will make it so that the city energy utility, Light and Power, will not be able to purchase a new facility without putting it to a public vote first. This issue was brought forth in conjunction with the restructuring question of Light and Power. Regardless of how the restructuring question turns out, this measure will apply either way.[2]
