A Union School District Bond Issue, Measure J ballot question was on the June 3, 2014 election ballot for voters in Union School District in Santa Clara County, California, where it was approved.

Measure J authorized the Union School District to increase its debt by $125 million through issuing general obligation bonds in that amount.[1]

District voters approved a parcel tax of $96 per year in 2010 in the form of Measure H. This tax was set to expire in 2016.

A 55 percent supermajority vote was required for approval of Measure J.

The question on the ballot:[1]

To improve local elementary/middle schools by fixing/replacing leaky roofs, improving safety/fire/security systems, adding classrooms to avoid overcrowding, keeping schools clean/well-maintained, providing updated classroom technology and teacher training for new technology, updating, renovating, acquiring, constructing/equipping classrooms, science/project labs, sites or facilities, shall the Union Elementary School District issue $125 million in bonds at legal rates, with citizen oversight, annual audits, no funds for administrators' salaries, all funds staying in local Union schools?[2]
