User talk:Ginger
Hi Ginger, I started a "Ballotpedia:To do list" in the hopes that it will provide an easy way for people unfamiliar with BP to start adding and/or organizing content. I think it can also serve as a touchpoint for regular BP contributors to make sure they are all on the same wavelength. Let me know what you think! Gardengnome
Ginger, the SOS announced on Friday which intiatives had qualified for the ballot and also gave them new numbers so I updated the chart on Oregon 2008 ballot measures and also moved (changed the names of) the articles to reflect their new official permanent ballot numbers. I'm leaving this note for FreeStyle too.January 20:43, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

Hi Ginger,
I took the liberty of adding another section to the Oregon 2008 ballot measures so readers could immediately see which initiatives have had signatures filed, and which are out of contention, and which are guaranteed a ballot slot. MMH 09:54, 6 July 2008 (EDT)
_________
To all active contributors: I've made a template to put on the pages of ballot measures that will not appear on the ballot. To apply it, you type {{no}} at the beginning of the article.
- See example: Idaho Wolf Regulation Initiative (2008).
I am also encouraging everyone to remove category tags at the bottom of 2008 articles that say "2008 ballot measures" and "NAME OF STATE ballot measures" and replace those with these category tags:
- [[Category:Did not make ballot in Idaho]]
- [[Category:Did not make ballot in 2008]]
Both of those categories will become subcategories of the bigger categories.
Why did I do this?
- I believe it is helpful to the reader to immediately see at a glance that a ballot measure is not going to be on the ballot.
- The Category:2008 ballot measures category has nearly 600 articles in it right now--most of which will not actually be on the ballot. If we take out the ones that aren't going to be on the ballot, we make the category more meaningful.
Please check it out and see if you agree with the change.January 15:21, 2 July 2008 (EDT)
Hi Ginger, I took the liberty of changing the titles of those three May 2008 Oregon ballot measures. I saw that there were already November measures with the same numbers, so I called them Oregon Ballot Measure 51 (May 2008) etc. Hope that's okay. Musical 19:45, 1 June 2008 (EDT)

Hi Ginger-it's great to have you on Ballotpedia! We sure need help building up the site and you're doing a great job at it. Some tips though:
Traditionally on a wiki you do not lead an article with a chart but instead a brief into paragraph with the title of the article include (and bolded) in the first sentence. It's generally more readable. Just wanted to let you know.- Kristinpedia 5:12, 11 January 2008 (PST)
