A Valley Township Road Levy Increase proposal is on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Allegan County, which is in Michigan.

If approved, this proposal authorizes the Township of Valley to increase property taxes by 2 mills ($2 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for three years in order to fund road improvements. The estimated first year revenue from this tax is $134,243.29.[1]

Language on the ballot:

Shall the tax limitation on general ad valorem taxes within Valley Township imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution be increased for said township by two mills ($2 PER $1,000 of taxable value) and levy it for four years, 2013 through 2016 inclusive, for township road improvements, which 2-mills increase will raise an estimated $134,243.29 in the first year the millage is levied?[1][2]
