Language on the ballot:
|| Shall the tax limitation on general ad valorem taxes within Vernon Township imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution be increased for said Township by 3 mills ($3.00 per $1,000 of Taxable value) for a period of 2012 through 2016 inclusive for road improvements within Vernon Township; and shall the Township levy such increase in millage for said purposes, thereby, raising in the first year an estimated $120,000.
