Vincent Melkus was a 2012 Republican candidate seeking election to the U.S. House representing the at-large Congressional District of Montana. Melkus was defeated by Steve Daines in the Republican primary on June 5, 2012.[1]


Biography

Melkus was raised by a single mother in southern Arizona, often spending his summers in Montana. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps for five years from 2004 through 2009, and is currently finishing his undergraduate studies at Colorado Mesa University.[2]

Melkus ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Montana's at-large District. He faced Steve Daines and Eric Brosten in the June 5, 2012 Republican primary. Melkus was defeated by Steve Daines in the Republican primary.[1][3]
