Virginia, officially known as "Commonwealth of Virginia" and nicknamed "The Old Dominion State," is bordered by Maryland, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, Washington, D.C. and the Atlantic Ocean. While Richmond is the state’s capital, the city of Virginia Beach is the state’s most populated city.

Virginia has two members of the U.S. Senate, a total of 11 members of the U.S. House of Representatives, 40 members of the State Senate and 100 members of the House of Delegates.
