The 4th congressional district of Virginia will hold an election for the U.S. House of Representatives on November 6, 2012.
This is the 4th congressional district prior to the 2012 redistricting.

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run was March 29, 2012. The primary elections will be held on June 12, 2012.

Heading into the election the incumbent is Randy Forbes (R), who was first elected to the House in a special election in 2001.
