Vivek Bavda was a 2012 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House representing the 10th Congressional District of Illinois. Bavda was defeated by Brad Schneider in the Democratic primary on March 20, 2012.[1]

Biography

Bavda was born in Columbus, Ohio. [2] Bavda attended Winkleman Elementary School in Glenview, Illinois. In 1987, the Bavda family moved to Mundelein where he enrolled at Hawthorn schools and Libertyville High School. [2] Bavda attended Northwestern University, receiving a BA in political science and economics. [2] He holds a J.D. from The John Marshall Law School. [2]

Career

Bavda is currently an attorney with a general private law practice. [2]
