The Washington Initiative 583, also known as the "Decriminalization of Online Poker Act," is an Initiative to the Legislature in Washington that may appear on the general election ballot in November 4, 2014. The measure would repeal criminal penalties for online poker players if they were not involved in the operation of the gaming platform .[1][2]


Poker pro player Curtin Woodard is sponsoring both this measure and Initiative 582.[2]

In order to qualify for the November ballot, supporters are required to submit a minimum of 246,372 valid signatures by July 2014.
