Washington Referendum 71 is an effort launched by the Washington Values Alliance to overturn Senate Bill 5688 through the veto referendum process. SB 5688 grants same-sex domestic partners in Washington all the rights of married couples.

Sponsors have until July 25 to collect 120,577 valid voter signatures to get the measure on the Nov. 3 ballot.[1]
