The Washington Transportation Rates Set By Legislature Amendment, also known as House Joint Resolution 55, was on the November 8, 1977 ballot in Washington as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure authorized the legislature to establish passenger and freight transportation rates rather than just maximum possible rates.[1] The measure amended Section 18 of Article XII of the Washington State Constitution.[2]
