Washougal School District Replacement Levy, 2(February 2010)

There were two Washougal School District Levy measures on the February 9 ballot in Clark and Skamania Counties for voters in the Washougal school district.

Both measures were approved overall.
Proposition 1

  • YES 2,687 (57.93%)Approveda
  • NO 1,951 (42.07%)

Proposition 2

  • YES 2.812 (60.73%)Approveda
  • NO 1,818 (39.27%)[1]

The first measure sought to renew an existing levy that was set to expire in order to further funding educational programs and operation costs in the district. The levy will be in place for a further four years and will be at a rate of $2.58 per $1,000 of assessed value.

The second measure sought to add an additional $.13 to the levy in order to further help fund technology improvements and upgrades in the schools. It will also be in place for a further four years. [2]
