A Wheatland Township Library Levy Renewal measure was on the August 7, 2012 ballot in the township of Wheatland, which is in Mecosta County.

This measure was approved

  • YES 126 (60%)Approveda
  • NO 84 (40%)[1]

This measure sought to renew the current library levy which is set at a rate of $.80 per $1,000 of assessed value for a further four years in order to continue to pay for library maintenance and operational costs in the township.[2]

The question on the ballot:

Shall the tax rate limitation for Wheatland Township be increased, and a tax levied on all taxable property, in the amount of eight-tenths (0.8) mill ($0.80 per $1,000 of taxable value) for the years 2013-2016, inclusive?[3]
