William Barclay is a Republican member of the New York State Assembly. He has represented District 124 since 2003 and currently serves as Assistant Minority Leader.

Barclay's professional experiences include being an attorney and partner with Hiscock and Barclay; a businessman; and a clerk for Judge Roger Minor, United States Court of Appeals, Second Circuit, Albany.

Barclay earned a BA from Saint Lawrence University and a JD from Syracuse University College of Law. He and his wife, Margaret, have two children; Harry and George.[1]

He is also running on the Conservative Party and Independence Party of New York State tickets. No candidates filed to run in the Democratic primary.
