William Chegwidden was a 2011 Republican candidate for District 25 of the New Jersey State Senate.

Chedwidden is the Mayor Wharton and the deputy director of the Morris County Board of Chosen Freeholders, serving the board in a number roles and committee positions. Via his work on the board, he aided the Morris County Improvement Authority in its renewable energy project which seeks to add solar panels to more that 14 government buildings. In addition to his political positions, Chegwidden works as a teacher at Morris Knolls High School. He is married and has three children.[1]

Chegwidden ran in the 2011 election for New Jersey Senate District 25. Chegwidden was defeated by Republican incumbent Anthony Bucco in the primary on June 7, 2011. [2]
