William B. "Bill" O'Neill is a Democratic member of the New Mexico State Senate, representing District 13. He was first elected to the chamber in 2012.

O'Neill previously served in the New Mexico House of Representatives from 2009 to 2013. O'Neill did not run for re-election to the House in 2012. Instead, he ran for State Senate.[1]

Biography

O'Neill's professional experience includes working as a Development Director of Peer Education Program, serving on a Juvenile Parole Board.[2]

O'Neill did not run for re-election to the New Mexico House of Representatives in 2012. Instead, he ran for election to the seat occupied by retiring Senator Dede Feldman in the State Senate.[1][3]

O'Neill won the Democratic primary election for State Senate District 13 on June 5, 2012. He defeated Carlos S. Cordova, Chris S. Catechis, and Laura Sanchez. He was unchallenged in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[4][5]
