William Soules is a Democratic member of the New Mexico State Senate representing District 37 since 2013.

Soules has previously worked as an elementary school principal for Las Cruces Public Schools. He also was an Academic Advisor and taught classes at New Mexico State University, serving as Assistant Provost of Student Services at New Mexico State University-Carlsbad. He holds a Bachelors and a Masters degree in Psychology and an Interdisciplinary Ph.D in Education and Psychology all from New Mexico State University. [1]
