William San Bento, Jr. (b. December 11, 1946) is a Democratic member of the Rhode Island House of Representatives, representing District 58. San Bento joined the Rhode Island House of Representatives in 1993.

San Bento is a business owner. He currently works as an Insurance Agent as well.

San Bento won re-election in the 2012 election for Rhode Island House of Representatives District 58. He defeated Carlos Tobon in the September 11 Democratic primary and was unopposed in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]

After multiple machine recounts, Tobon requested that the Rhode Island Supreme Court order a manual recount, which it denied on October 5, 2012.[3]

San Bento won re-election to the 58th District Seat in 2010. He defeated Carlos Tobon and George Hovarth in the September 14 Democratic primary election and defeated Republican Michael Grossi in the general election on November 2, 2010.[4][5]
