The Wisconsin City and County Land Debt Amendment was a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment on the November 5, 1912 ballot in Wisconsin, where it was approved.

This amendment modified Article XI, Section 3 of the Wisconsin Constitution to extend the time cities and counties must repay debt for land from 20 to 50 years.[1]

Text of measure

The language that appeared on the ballot:

"For the amendment extending from twenty to fifty years the time within which debts incurred in the acquisition of lands by cities or by counties having a population of one hundred and fifty thousand or more, shall be paid."[2]
