The Wisconsin Federal Lands Tax was a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment on the April 5, 1949 ballot in Wisconsin, where it was defeated.

  • This amendment sought to modify Article II, Section 2 of the Wisconsin Constitution to repeal the prohibition on taxing federal lands.[1]

"Shall article II, section 2 of the constitution be amended so as to repeal the provision that no tax be imposed by the state on land which is the property of the United States?"[2]
