The Wisconsin General Banking Law Referendum was a legislatively-referred state statute / Wisconsin referendum on the November 2, 1852 ballot in Wisconsin, where it was approved.[1]

  • This referendum created the Wisconsin general banking law.[1]


In 1902, fifty years after this first banking law referendum, the necessity of a general referendum to create or change banking laws was repealed by a constitutional amendment.
