The current officeholder is Ben Brancel.

Brancel was born and raised in Marquette County, Wisconsin. He managed a dairy operation for 22 years and now runs a 290-acre family farm with his wife, son, and daughter-in-law.[1]

Brancel holds a BA in Animal science from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.[1]

Compensation

In 2010, the Wisconsin Secretary of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection was paid an estimated $123,248 according to the Council of State Governments.[2]
