A Wixom City Municipal Operating Levy Levy Increase proposal is on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Oakland County, which is in Michigan.

If approved, this proposal amends the Wixom City Charter to allow a new levy by the City of 3.5 mills ($3.5 per $1,000 of assessed taxable valuation) for 4 years to fund municipal operations such as Police, Fire and Parks and Recreation.[1]

Language on the ballot:

Shall Section 9.2 of the Charter of the City of Wixom, Oakland County, Michigan, be amended so as to permit the levy by the City, beginning July 2013, of a new dedicated millage in an amount of 3.5 mills (which is equal to $3.50 on each $1,000 of taxable value) for four (4) years to provide funds for municipal operating purposes including police and fire, public works, and parks & recreation?[1][2]
