Woodie Salmon is a former Democratic member of the Alaska House of Representatives, representing the 6th District from 2005 to 2011. He previously served as council member and mayor of Fort Yukon.

Salmon is a pilot and has worked in pipeline construction, operations and maintenance in the oil business. He serves on the board of the Interior Regional Housing Authority.[1]

Salmon lost his re-election bid to the 6th District Seat in 2010. He had no opposition in the August 24 primary. He was defeated by Rex L. Goolsby in the November 2 general election.
