Located in the western region of the United States, the state of Wyoming is land-locked and bordered by Montana, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Nebraska and South Dakota. Nicknamed “the Equality state,” Wyoming was the 44th state admitted to the Union in 1890. Cheyenne is the state’s capital and also most populous city in Wyoming. Currently, there are two Republican members of the U.S. Senate, one Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives, 30 members of the Wyoming State Senate and 60 members of the Wyoming House of Representatives. As of September 2013, Wyoming is one of 24 Republican state government trifectas.
