Located in the American West, the state of Wyoming is landlocked and bordered by Montana, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Nebraska and South Dakota. Nicknamed “the Equality State,” Wyoming became the 44th state when it was admitted to the Union in 1890. Cheyenne is the state’s capital and also the most populous city in Wyoming. Currently, there are two Republican members of the U.S. Senate, one Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives, 30 members of the Wyoming State Senate and 60 members of the Wyoming House of Representatives.
