Located in the American West, the state of Wyoming is landlocked and bordered by Montana, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Nebraska and South Dakota. Nicknamed “the Equality State,” Wyoming became the 44th state when it was admitted to the Union in 1890. Cheyenne is the state’s capital and also the most populous city.
