Wyoming City Public Safety Levy Implementation (May 2010)
This measure seeks to implement a public safety tax of 1.25 mills on local property, averaging about $62.50 a year on a home valued at $100,000 and would be in place for a further five years. The money generated from this tax would go towards fire and police services offered in the city. The goal is to free up money in the general fund for other uses, namely keeping staff members at their current posts.
