Nearly 400 candidates competed in Kentucky's nonpartisan judicial elections on November 4, 2014. Roughly half ran unopposed, while the other half contested their races. One seat on the Kentucky Supreme Court was up for election, and the incumbent was successfully re-elected.

Interesting races
- Michelle Keller, who was first appointed to the Kentucky Supreme Court in 2013, was successful in her first election to retain the seat. She defeated Teresa L. Cunningham.
- Eight incumbents were defeated in the 2014 elections. Three advanced past the primary but lost in the general election. In the race for the 15th Circuit Court, Judge Tamra Gormley—who had previously been suspended twice for misconduct—was unseated by Lisa Hart Morgan.
- There were also several closely contested races. In the race for the 5th Circuit Court, 2nd Division, Brandi Hagan Rogers defeated Ben Leonard with 50.2% of the vote. John T. Chafin secured a win in the 24th Circuit Court by the same margin, edging out Paul L. Pack. Incumbent Larry Miller was re-elected to the 39th Circuit Court, defeating Samuel Bruce Herald with 50.7% of the vote.
