Kamala D. Harris

Harris' campaign website said, "Vice President Harris and Governor Walz believe many fundamental freedoms are at stake in this election. They will fight to ensure that Americans have the opportunity to participate in our democracy by passing the John Lewis Voting Rights and the Freedom to Vote Acts—laws that will enshrine voting rights protections, expand vote-by-mail and early voting, and more." ^{[source, as of 2024-09-09]}

Marianne Williamson

Williamson's campaign website listed the following policies, "Establishment of election day as a national holiday, and guarantee of enough time and polling places to allow for easy access to voting. [...] Ensure prepaid vote by mail is the standard for all elections (local, state, and federal)." ^{[source, as of 2023-12-19]}

Republican candidates

Ron DeSantis

In a Republican debate DeSantis said, "What you should do for election integrity is do what we did in Florida. 20 years ago, Florida and elections was a joke. Everybody would laugh at it. I came in, I removed a couple supervisors from South Florida. We require voter ID universal, no Zuckerbucks, no mass mail balloting and no ballot harvesting. We even have an agency that prosecutes people for violating election laws. The result of that in both 2020 and 2022, we counted millions and millions of votes on election night, produced the results, it was transparent and everybody was happy." ^{[source, as of 2023-12-06]}

Nikki Haley

Haley’s campaign website said, “Nikki is a vocal advocate for voter ID and signed a voter ID bill into law early in her first term as governor. The law required South Carolina voters to show a photo ID to vote. When liberals attacked the bill, she offered to drive anyone who didn’t have a photo ID to the DMV. When Barack Obama’s Justice Department sued, trying to block the voter ID law, Nikki fought back, and the court sided with South Carolina.” ^{[source, as of 2023-12-19]}

Vivek Ramaswamy

Ramaswamy's campaign website said, "Vivek supports a constitutional amendment to implement Civic Duty Voting amongst Americans aged 18-25. In substance, this amendment will increase the standard voting age to 25, while still allowing all Americans to vote at age 18 if they meet a national service requirement (at least 6 months in the military or a first responder role) or else pass the same civics test required of naturalized citizens." ^{[source, as of 2023-12-21]}

Donald Trump

Trump's campaign website said, "President Donald J. Trump is committed to the honesty of our elections and the integrity of our Republic. We will reform our election laws to verify the identity and eligibility of all voters to ensure faith and confidence in all future elections. We will pass a bold range of critical election integrity measures that include banning unsecure drop boxes and ballot harvesting. State and local officials cannot be permitted to make illegal and unconstitutional changes to election procedures without the required approvals by the state legislatures.
