29 of 124 state court judges in Utah are women

Utah: The state court system in Utah includes 124 judges; 29 of them (or 23%) are women, according to an analysis conducted by Forster-Long, LLC and published by the National Association of Women Judges.[1]
The 23% representation of women on the Utah state bench is slightly less than the national average, where women make up 26% of state court judges.[1]

The first female judge of the state of Utah was Reva Beck Bosone. Born 1895-1983, she aspired to many things throughout her lifetime.
She started her career as a high school teacher and went on to become one of the first female lawyers. After that she became a member in the House of Representatives in 1932 and four years later she was elected as the first woman judge. She later served two terms after being elected to the United States Congress.
In 1960, Bosone became the judicial officer of the Post Office where she became the highest ranking woman in that department. Reva Beck Bosone has wanted to raise the image of women in politics and the public office throughout her years of service.[2][3]
