900,000,000 page views

Ballotpedia’s encyclopedic articles receive their 900 millionth page view

Middleton, Wis. - May 1, 2018: With the busiest primary election days just around the corner, Ballotpedia.org tracked its 900,000,000th page view on Tuesday. The website, which is home to 270,000 articles on federal, state, and local politics, projects it will hit one billion page views later this year.

“Hitting 900 million page views is an exciting accomplishment for the organization,” said Colin O’Keefe, Ballotpedia’s Chief Operating Officer. “It speaks to the hunger that Americans have for news and information they can trust. We will continue to deliver that information to our readers wherever they are: in their inboxes, their newsfeeds, and of course, at ballotpedia.org.”

Interest in upcoming primaries fueled the final push to 900,000, with many of those readers preparing to vote in Ohio on May 8. Ohio, Georgia, and Pennsylvania election pages topped Ballotpedia charts throughout the last week in April.
