A. Gene Calvert, Jr. is the judge for the Ellis County Court at Law No. 2 in Texas. Calvert was elected to the position in the 2002 election.[1][2] He was re-elected after running unopposed on November 4, 2014, for a term beginning on January 1, 2015, and expired on December 31, 2018.[3][4]

Calvert ran for re-election to the Ellis County Court at Law.
Primary: He was successful in the Republican primary on March 4, 2014, receiving 56.7 percent of the vote. He competed against Ricky Sipes.

Calvert was re-elected to the Ellis County Court at Law after running unopposed.[7]

Education

Calvert received both his undergraduate degree and J.D. from Baylor University.[8]

Career

Prior to being elected to the bench, Calvert worked as both prosecutor and defense attorney in criminal cases. He also received specialized mediator training.[1]
