A. Lee Harris is the judge for the 66th District Court in Texas. He was elected in 2014, effective January 1, 2015, for a term that expires on December 31, 2018.[1][2]

Harris ran for election to the 66th District Court.
Primary: He was successful in the Republican primary on March 4, 2014, receiving 80.8 percent of the vote. He competed against Terence A. Russell.
General: He won without opposition in the general election on November 4, 2014. [2][3][4]

Harris was re-elected after running unopposed.[5]

Education

Harris received his undergraduate degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and his J.D. from Baylor Law School.[6]

Career

Prior to becoming a judge, Harris was an attorney in private practice for eleven years. He also served as a Hill County assistant district attorney for six years. He joined the Hill County Court at Law in 2005, serving there until his election to the 66th District Court in 2014. Harris and his wife also own a ranch in Aquila, Texas.[6]
