My name is AJ Roll, and I’m a lifelong Ohioan, a proud Gen Z conservative, and a candidate for Ontario City Council At-Large. At just 19 years old, I’m stepping up because I believe Ontario’s future deserves fresh energy, strong leadership, and someone who truly cares about the people who call this city home. I moved to Ontario a few years ago and quickly fell in love with the community — its values, its work ethic, and its potential. I may be young, but I take this responsibility seriously. I’ve worked hard, served my neighbors, and stayed rooted in faith, family, and a commitment to public service. I’m running to make Ontario stronger, more prosperous, and to ensure it works for every resident!
  • Fresh Leadership with Real Commitment I may be young, but I bring energy, determination, and a deep commitment to Ontario’s future. I’m not running for a title — I’m running to serve. I want to be a voice for the next generation and a bridge between the community and the decisions that shape it. Ontario deserves leadership that shows up, listens, and puts people first.
  • Building a Stronger, More Prosperous Ontario I believe in smart growth, responsible planning, and keeping Ontario a great place to live, work, and raise a family. That means protecting what makes our city special while supporting new businesses, maintaining strong infrastructure, and making sure every resident feels seen and heard.
  • Making Local Government Work for You I’m here to serve the people — not to play politics. I’ll bring transparency, common sense, and real accessibility to City Hall. If elected, I’ll be the kind of council member who shows up, answers calls, and actually listens. It’s time local government starts working for everyone and I’m ready to make that happen.
I’m passionate about local economic growth, responsible development, and keeping Ontario a city that works for its residents. I care deeply about supporting small businesses, improving infrastructure, and making sure city government stays accessible and transparent.

As a member of the next generation, I also want to see Ontario plan boldly for the future — with policies that reflect both our values and our potential. I believe in putting families first, creating opportunity, and strengthening our community from the ground up.
I look up to leaders who combine strong principles with a willingness to listen and work hard — people who aren’t afraid to stand up for what they believe in, but also know the importance of serving others.

Someone like Ronald Reagan inspires me because he championed conservative values while connecting with everyday Americans. I also admire J.D. Vance for his story of resilience and commitment to community.

I want to follow their example by being a leader who’s honest, hardworking, and focused on making Ontario stronger and better for everyone not just a select few.
One book I’d recommend is “Hillbilly Elegy” by J.D. Vance. It’s not a policy manual, but it’s a powerful story about family, struggle, opportunity, and the American Dream all through the eyes of someone who came from a small town and wanted to make a difference.

It speaks to a political philosophy that’s rooted in personal responsibility, strong communities, faith, and the belief that anyone no matter their background can step up and lead. That’s the spirit I bring to this campaign, and to public service.

We need people who care, who listen, and who fight for what’s right. That’s the kind of leader I’m working to be.
I believe the most important qualities for an elected official are integrity, accountability, and humility. People deserve leaders who tell the truth, own their decisions, and never forget who they work for.

An elected official should be someone who listens first, serves with purpose, and always puts the community above politics. It takes courage to lead, but even more courage to listen and that’s the kind of leadership I’m committed to bringing to Ontario.

President of Ontario Council Edie Galo
Ontario Councilman Josh Bradley
Ontario Councilwoman Sherry Branham-Fonner
