Aaron Johnson after serving in the United States Marine Corps moved to Nevada in 2005 to begin his career in Law Enforcement. After graduating from the police academy in 2006, Aaron Joined Boulder City Police Department where he had served the community for 17 years.

Aaron has served in the capacity of patrol officer, field training officer, sergeant over patrol, detectives, special operations and k-9. In 2021, Aaron was promoted to operations lieutenant in April 2021, and continued his rapid advancement by being promoted to commander, May 6, 2021.

Aaron is a graduate of the 282 session of the FBI National Academy where he took classes in intelligence theory, terrorism and terrorism mindsets, management science, law, behavioral science, law enforcement communication, and forensic science. This training has given Aaron additional resources to apply back to his community.

Aaron also began a community clean-up program in Eldorado Valley, partnering with local off-highway vehicle group to do a cleanup out in the desert. In addition, he launched Coffee with a Cop to provide a community communication opportunity for the residents to discuss issues and concerns that are important to them.

Aaron earned his Master’s Degree in Public Administration and Organizational Leadership from National University and a Graduate Certificate in Criminal Justice Education from University of Virginia.
