My passion is education reform and providing parents with more quality choices for their children's education.
Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King has long been my hero and model of change. I've long been impressed with his passion for unity and justice and his belief in the possibility of change.
Honesty, integrity, and determination are critical for elected officials to serve well.
My first job was with United Bank & Trust as a Junior collector, Pearl Street, Hartford, CT. I held that job for 13 months and then left to begin a path of entrepreneurial pursuits.
The Stone Edition of The Chumash. I believe it provides a foundation for life.
Love's In Need Of Love Today By Stevie Wonder
I view the Governor's position as the Chief of Management on behalf of the people. While the office of the Governor is a position of authority, I view it as a servant's position, putting the people first in all decision-making.
I believe that the most critical responsibility of the Governor is to protect the freedom of the citizens of the state as per the constitutions of the State of Connecticut and the U S Constitution. I believe it is the Governor's responsibility to re-create a state that helps its citizens thrive economically and socially.
The state's budget will be appropriately handled by finance, accounting, and economics experts. I believe that managing the state's budget will require a team of professionals who've proven proficiency in these areas.
I believe that the Governor should have the power to make line-item vetoes so long as it stands in agreement with the constitution and the better interest of the people.
The state legislature is the body that writes bills that become law. I believe that the Governor and the legislature should work together to create laws that help to promote greater freedom and liberties.
I love most that we proudly boast that we are the Constitution State.
I believe over the next decade; we have to work hard on regaining lost freedoms. I also think that our state will have to work very hard to attract new people, especially young people, to become a part of our state.
I believe that the Governor should only use emergency powers to protect the safety of the people when evidence-based danger is an issue. I do not think the Governor should use mandates or emergency powers to inhibit any freedom of the people based on conjecture, hyper sensationalism, or media-driven or manipulated theories.
