Aaron Smith is a Southern Illinois business owner residing in Marion, IL with his wife and 4 children. Aaron is known in the region as a job-creator and local leader. He serves as Vice Chairman of the John A. Logan College Board of Trustees. Aaron wants to take his experience putting Southern Illinoisans to work and his commitment to local control and values to Springfield.

Aaron is passionate about defending our children from Chicago-driven curriculum in the classroom. As a former classroom teacher - and as the father of 4 young children, Aaron sees first-hand the need to keep Springfield's hand out of our local schools.
