A native of north county (born and raised in Oceanside), I have lived in Escondido since 2014. I have been a Registered Nurse for more than fifteen years, and have worked in healthcare since 2000. I have worked as a nurse all over Southern California, in a variety of departments and types of nursing - telemetry/inpatient, critical care, emergency, pediatric emergency, procedural sedation, and pediatric triage/clinic. My “Covid Years” were spent in both the Emergency Department and as a Rapid Response Nurse for Palomar Health (primarily at the Poway and former Downtown Campus locations). I hold an Associate’s degree in Nursing, a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, and will receive my Master’s degree in Nursing in September 2024.
  • To improve patient safety and help Palomar provide the highest quality care for all patients
  • To make sure that employees and contracted providers are treated fairly
  • To ensure maximum transparency with both hospital and board decisions - both to the residents of the Palomar Healthcare District as well as the employees and contracted providers that provide care to our neighbors
I look up to my mother, who is the most honest and genuinely kind person I have ever met. She quite literally does not know how to be mean on purpose.
It may sound corny, but I strive to follow the second commandment from Jesus - love your neighbor as yourself from Mark 12:31 of the Bible.
I bring a wealth of experience at the bedside as a registered nurse in a variety of departments - telemetry (inpatient floor), critical care, emergency, pediatric emergency, pediatric triage/clinic, procedural sedation, etc.

I have no political ambitions past this healthcare board and making healthcare better in my community.
To represent the people of not just my district, but all people who utilize the services of Palomar Healthcare District entities.
I truly don't need a legacy. I hope anyone who remembers me, thinks of me fondly.
I remember the Challenger explosion as a child, as it was the first time a teacher (regular person) had trained as an astronaut and was going to space. I remember watching it live.
My very first "real" job (other than babysitting) was as a seasonal retail worker in menswear at the Sears in Carlsbad, California.
I cannot pick just one. The Harry Potter series, Anna Karenina, This is Ear Hustle, To Kill a Mocking Bird, Pride & Prejudice, The Odyssey and The Iliad
Bring Him Home from Les Miserables (yes, I'm a nerd)
"I felt super exhausted after giving blood. It's such a draining procedure."
There should be maximum allowable transparency. Period.
