Adam Dweck is a third generation Brooklynite running on a platform centered on government accountability, and efficiency. He will tackle Albany's chronic spending problem with a focus on rooting out corruption, and increased oversight of its finances to ensure responsible spending that serves the community's needs over self-interested politicians.
  • Whether the perception or reality of crime, public safety is an issue that comes up over and over again. It's time to reassess New York's bail reform policy. The current criminal justice system's leniency towards repeat offenders puts law enforcement, and the public in danger, and requires decisive action, including the reinstatement of bail for those who pose a threat to our communities. Adam advocates for increased funding for law enforcement, ensuring they have the resources necessary to keep our streets safe.
  • Adam Dweck is against congestion pricing. New Yorkers are already burdened with excessive taxes, and a broken transit system that no amount of money can fix without reform. Furthermore many parts of the 41st Assembly District do not have reliable public transportation. Congestion tolling will only exacerbate the affordability crisis and worsen traffic conditions in Brooklyn. Adam is committed to easing the financial strain on residents.
  • Adam Dweck will be an unabashed voice for the people of New York. Insiders have eroded the public's trust in government, looting our taxes in the process. In the Assembly, Adam will push for good government initiatives such as term limits, and campaign finance reform. He will also work to make running for office more accessible to outsiders, as both major parties made it more difficult in recent years. Adam believes we need to open & expand the conversation of what government should look like so that all of our voices are heard, and decisions are being made collectively, not by corrupt insiders in smoke-filled backrooms.
Tax accountability, good government, public transportation, mental health, protecting & advocating for women, children, seniors, and veterans, clean water & air, expanded and protected parkland
My experiences working in local politics & government. I witnessed corruption and mismanagement firsthand and know we can do so much better for the people of New York. I remember thinking to myself "Is this the best we can do?" and it clearly was not. That is what drives me to seek this position.
Honesty, Integrity, Accountability, Accessibility, Responsiveness
My willingness to hear every perspective and the ability to change my mind despite having strong convictions.
Too often, politicians only show up for photo ops and during elections. The core responsibility for someone in this office is to always be accessible, and receptive to the constituents' best interest.
New Yorkers pay some of the highest taxes in the country yet our return on investment is woefully inadequate. It is no wonder people are leaving the state in droves. In the Assembly I will hold the line on taxes, and make sure they are being spent appropriately. We must do everything we can to make New York an affordable and enticing to live.
Not necessarily. In fact it can be disadvantageous. People who work on the inside often forget who they are supposed to represent. My experiences in government & politics were a mixed bag. Good, bad, and ugly.
Any legislator that actually says what they mean, and means what they say.
