Haber's campaign website highlighted the following issues:[3]
Lower Taxes
- Excerpt: "Adam knows too many families in Nassau are being taxed out of our community and many young people can’t afford to live here. Adam is against all new tax increases and will fight hard every day in the State Senate to reduce the tax burden our families face."
Job Creation
- Excerpt: "Adam has had a great career in the private sector, running companies, building thriving businesses, managing complex budgets and creating jobs. In the State Senate, he will fight to cut bureaucratic red tape and to reduce taxes on small businesses – so they can grow and create jobs here in Nassau."
Better Schools
- Excerpt: "Adam knows how to make our schools work for parents, students and taxpayers. As a school board member, Adam helped turn around a dysfunctional school district by cutting costs and saving millions, all without reducing services. In the State Senate, Adam will fight to get Nassau schools the resources they need, focusing on expanding after-school activities, athletic programs and arts education."
Reforming Government
- Excerpt: "Adam believes we need to make state government more open and transparent to taxpayers. In the State Senate, Adam will be a reformer who’ll fight to force legislators to publicly disclose their outside income, ensuring that elected officials are standing up for us and not the special interests."
Real Equality for Women
- Excerpt: "Adam thinks it’s a disgrace society still doesn’t treat men and women equally and it’s shocking women are only paid 83 cents on the dollar for the same work as men. In the State Senate, Adam will fight to make sure the Fair Pay Act becomes law, ensuring women are paid equally for the same work."
