I am a dedicated community advocate and public servant based in North Carolina, currently running as a Democratic candidate for the Mecklenburg County Board of Commissioners (District 1) in the 2026 election. With a strong focus on improving the regional experience for everyday residents, I have served as the former chair of the Democrats of North Mecklenburg and held leadership roles on the Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Commission’s North Regional Advisory Council. As a frequent transit user and former Co-Chairman of the Citizens Transit Advisory Group (CTAG), I am vocal proponent for reliable public transportation and equitable urban growth. Professionally, I have a background in contract management and risk mitigation, frequently leveraging that expertise to advocate for smarter infrastructure, affordable housing, and the preservation of green spaces across the county.
  • Sustainable Growth and Environmental Stewardship: As Mecklenburg County’s population continues to surge, the Board of County Commissioners must transition from reactive oversight to proactive leadership. My approach to stewardship isn't just about preservation—it’s about ensuring our economic expansion doesn't come at the cost of our quality of life.

    1. Protecting Our Vital Resources - Our long-term health and affordability are tied directly to our environment. 2. Parks and Greenways as Essential Infrastructure - I view our recreational network not as a "luxury," but as a vital utility for a thriving community. 3. Balancing Affordability with Sustainability -

    Sustainable growth must be equitable.
  • Affordable Housing and Economic Opportunity aren't just line items in a budget; they are the foundation of a stable, thriving community where everyone has the chance to succeed. I believe that as Mecklenburg County grows, we must ensure that the very people who power our economy—our teachers, first responders, and service workers—can actually afford to live in the neighborhoods they serve. Housing stability leads to better educational outcomes and long-term economic mobility. Ultimately, I view these issues as a commitment to making North Mecklenburg a place where young people and families don't just survive, but feel empowered to put down roots and build a future.
  • Investing in Our Future: Investing in our youth and education is the single most important down payment we can make on Mecklenburg County’s future. For me, this isn't just about funding buildings; it's about shifting our county’s focus from providing "crisis services" to fostering "opportunity." We must build a system where every child has access to high-quality education and clear vocational pathways, ensuring that the next generation doesn't just survive but thrives. By supporting our educators and expanding programs that bridge the gap between graduation and a career. Creating a more resilient, skilled workforce where every young person sees a viable, thriving future for themselves.
I'm most passionate about Sustainable Growth & Environmental Stewardship.

So many things in County Government are interconnected but everything roots back to Sustainable Growth, making sure we're being proactive instead of reactive. And then Environmental Stewardship, making sure we take care of the natural resources we have.
I currently hold the endorsements of:

Mayor of Huntersville - Christy Clark
Mayor of Davidson - Rusty Knox

Huntersville Town Commissioner - Scott Coronet
