I am a graduate of La Salle University where I received a dual degree in Finance and Management Information Systems. I also excelled as a student-athlete competing in football and track.

After graduation, I worked as a computer programmer before enrolling in law school at the University of Dayton. While in law school, I served as Executive President of the Student Bar Association and completed several internships, including the Ohio General Assembly and the Dayton NAACP.

Upon graduating and passing the bar exam, I commissioned into the U.S. Army as a Judge Advocate. While on active duty, I deployed to Afghanistan and served as a defense attorney, prosecutor, employment law attorney, and part-time military magistrate. I received an Honorable discharge and currently serve in the U.S. Army Reserve.

After military service, I worked as an Assistant District Attorney, prosecuting serious felony offenses with a specialization in criminal street gangs. Now, I am the owner of a solo law practice.

I am a Life Member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated, and am a member of the Atlanta Bar Association, the Gate City Bar Association, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, and the Atlanta NAACP.
  • I am a proud resident of District 38 who wants to create a community that is thriving, safe, and healthy for everyone. This district needs someone who answers the call to service and shows up consistently. I am the candidate that will faithfully represent the residents of both, Fulton and Cobb counties.
  • As a gang prosecutor and now, a criminal defense attorney, I have the experience and expertise to address crime and criminal justice reform. I have built community relationships that help me serve our local communities.
  • My campaign's priorities recognize the commonalities we all share, regardless of what we look like or where we live in the district. We all want to live in safe neighborhoods, enjoy affordable housing, and send our children to great schools.
I am personally passionate about many areas of public policy. Some of my priorities include public safety, criminal justice reform, education, housing, and economic growth.
I look up to my mother, she is one of the strongest, most resilient people I know. My mother has always taught me to be a blessing to others and to serve my local community. The lessons my mother impressed upon me from a young age have guided me throughout life and have shaped me to be the person I am today.
An elected official should always remember that he or she serves at the pleasure of the people. Therefore, elected officials have a duty to their constituents to be active and accountable. Elected officials need to be leaders who serve with a spirit of duty and humility. I believe that elected officials need to have a passion for service which will guide them to seek what is best for their constituency.
I would be a successful officeholder because I am a servant leader with a genuine heart who is passionate about people. I believe in accountability and work tirelessly to ensure that I do not fail those who are counting on me. I am persistent and not easily deterred by obstacles or challenges. I am open-minded to other perspectives and feel that I can learn something from everyone.
"My Adidas" by Run-DMC is the last song stuck in my head. I am an 80s baby, so it makes sense.
The ideal relationship between a governor and the state legislature should be grounded in respect. The legislature must remember that it has a responsibility to represent constituents, enact good laws, and balance power within the government. More times than not, the interests of the governor and the legislature should coincide, but when they do not, the legislature must insist on remaining independent. With a firm foundation of respect between the two, the governor and the legislature should always have open lines of effective communication and be moving forward, in the best interests of the people.
Georgia's greatest challenge over the next decade is to elect leadership throughout the state that has the best interests of all Georgians first and foremost. In recent years, state leadership has suppressed voting rights, refused protocols and policies that would have helped protect Georgians during a global health pandemic, and notwithstanding increases in violent crime, passed legislation that will introduce more firearms to the community. In this year's election, we have an opportunity to elect leaders who more accurately reflect the growing population of Georgia. Once these leaders are in place, our next challenge will be to train the next generation of leaders who will be ready, when called upon, to continue doing the people's work.

There are other challenges that we will need to face - we need to implement public safety measures that will permanently begin to reduce crime rates. We will need to fund and empower our public school system so that our children are best prepared for college, trade school, and subsequent successful careers. Additionally, we need to slow down rising mortgage and rental costs to put families in homes and to help them afford to stay in them.
It is only beneficial for state legislators to have previous experience in government or politics if their previous experience is matched with a track record of activism, policymaking, and relationship building. There is no benefit to having experience in government or politics if the legislator has not been active or in touch with his or her constituency. It is more beneficial for a legislator to have a genuine passion for service and noteworthy leadership attributes. Every prominent and successful legislator throughout history had "a first election," and had to demonstrate why he or she was worthy of the peoples' vote.
