I'm a small business owner, farmer, husband, father, and advocate. I've been fighting for this District since the day I landed here and that experience has showed me how deeply flawed our political system is. I'm not running on the promise of a huge legislative agenda, I'm running to do the tedious work of fixing a system that no longer serves the people. And I'm running as an Independent to ensure that my only allegiance is to the people of this District.
  • Partisan political rhetoric has become detrimental to the process. We must return to putting people over party and policy over politics if we are going to find solutions to the problems facing everyday Arkansans. If we spend all of our time finger pointing, there's none left to sit down and find good policy. I'm committed to talking, not yelling, and using my energy for finding solutions that work.
  • Transparency and accountability are not negotiable. All government power is generated from and retained to the people. This idea is reflected in our State's motto, but not our legislature. Cronyism, backroom deals, and keeping citizens in the dark have no room in Arkansas. I've upheld these ideals in my non-profit work and fully intend to carry them with me to Little Rock.
  • I want my constituents to participate in the process and see it as my duty as a legislator to facilitate that. Too often we assume that our civic duty stops at the voter booth (if we even make it that far). To the contrary, that's just where it starts. I will take an active role in ensuring that every voice is heard, providing ample opportunities for discussion, and never letting any constituent feel like their opinion doesn't matter.
