I am 51 year old southern Indiana raised man. Graduated high school at Switz City Central and Indiana University in 2000 with BS Microbiology. I have participated in Indiana's youth becoming an IHSAA official for almost 30 years. I currently am a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Jointers union.
The middle class and below have been least represented in Washington. Our class is the majority of population but it seems most of legislation is geared for advantage to the upper 20 percent of the population. It's time we get represented and vested in the legislation as well. Opportunity is harder because of lobbyist and this needs to be stopped.

Tax reform where every tax payer pays the fair percentage of income obtained. No special rules to allow corporate higharchy to get paid in stocks or other ways just to be taxed at a lower rate. Income is income. I feel this will lessen the load on the middle to lower incomes and that will produce more spending and expand our economy.

I have an Arabic name because my dad was Arab. My mom a southern Indiana woman. But with half of my family ties in the middle east I have a more broad view of the beat on the ground there. Our foreign policy needs to be evaluated. As we enjoy our freedom and independence we can't will that to other populations. Our freedom is paid by constant sacrifice. Sometimes other nations just don't have the will power to pay for their freeedom and if they don't then we sometimes fight an uphill battle trying to provide freedom for them. They have to fight and want for themselves. Point in case recent withdraw from Afghanistan ... Their own leadership deserted and people just gave up as well. That's no one's fault but their own. Period.
My mom. Her work ethic is neverending. I hope to display half the work ethic she characterized.
A quality associate for Pfizer Inc. About 2 years.
Absolutely not. Previous experience may be a negative if party bias voting continues in Washington.
Economy and Party division. We have to work together not against one another. In my opinion both parties legislative play does more harm than good for America.
It is a must. But it doesn't happen much. I plan to change that.

Campaign website

Dhahir's campaign website stated the following:

I will demand or be transparent on who is working together and who is not. This office is for the will of the people not a party.

FEDERAL LEGALIZATION OF MARIJAUNA

I have after much thought and research decided to support legalization of cannabis. Companies like Amazon removed it from their drug testing criteria and the federal tax dollars gained will help reduce our national debt. Our detention centers are filled with non violent marijuana offenses and it just doesn't make dollars nor sense to continue to criminalize the substance.[3]
