I am a public servant, civil engineer, and West Ashley resident dedicated to advocating for the needs of District 114’s residents. After graduating from the University of Southern California, I accepted a position with Dorchester County’s Public Works department, where I still work today. For the past three years, I have been gaining industry knowledge about local flooding issues and government-facilitated roadway improvement projects.

Shortly after relocating to the Charleston area, I became invested in both state and local politics. I have submitted dozens of both spoken and written public comments to local school boards and state-level committees and am an outspoken advocate for marginalized communities.

In my free time, I enjoy crocheting, bachata dancing, researching public policy, and working out. I even hold multiple state powerlifting records.
  • I will listen to my constituents and respond to all constituent inquiries. As a STEM-educated woman, I highly value facts and figures and make evidence-based decisions after considering all relevant information.
  • South Carolina’s state legislature desperately needs more diversity. While women comprise 51% of the state’s population, less than 15% of elected state-level positions are held by women. Very few young people are elected to the state legislature, but if elected, I will be the first Gen-Z person elected to the State House and the youngest sitting member in the State House. Being a young adult in my generation poses unique challenges that are frequently not reflected in our elected representatives. I will be the voice in the State House to advocate for the needs of younger voters and ALL residents in District 114.
  • I support attacking issues with a proactive approach, not a reactive approach. Many solutions proposed by current legislators are reactive in nature; they attempt to address the issue after it already exists instead of preventing the issue from arising in the first place. I will propose and support legislation that more efficiently addresses the contributing factors that lead to these issues in South Carolina.
I am passionate about improving and protecting public education by keeping public tax dollars in public schools and increasing both teacher and support staff pay.

The Lowcountry needs more affordable housing for families and young working people. Rent in Charleston and Dorchester counties is exorbitantly high. I support initiatives that encourage developers and municipalities to create sustainable, affordable housing opportunities.

I support freedoms for ALL South Carolinian, and that includes reproductive freedoms and access to gender affirming care. The government should not overreach into the personal medical decisions of South Carolinians.
Elected officials must be willing to listen to ALL of their constituents, especially if they don’t agree on every topic. Legislators especially need to listen to the wants and needs of the people they represent. This input, combined with a thorough evaluation of all facts and data presented on a matter, should be the basis on which elected officials decide their votes.
Growing up, I worked as an assistant dance instructor during my junior and senior year of high school. While I mostly taught modern and tap, I occasionally assisted in ballet and jazz classes as well.

A state ballot initiative process has the potential to be incredibly powerful in South Carolina. Multiple polls and surveys have shown that South Carolinians overwhelmingly support reproductive freedoms and access to reproductive healthcare. However, the majority of our state legislators voted to restrict reproductive rights across South Carolina. In multiple other states that also have Republican majorities in the legislature, reproductive freedom was put on the ballot. In these states, residents overwhelmingly voted in support of these freedoms. While a ballot initiative process has been discussed in South Carolina, it has never come to fruition. However, I believe that this is, to an extent, an intentional move by the majority party to prevent voters from directly deciding the fate of reproductive freedoms in South Carolina.
