Agriculture, Water, Natural Resources & Parks Committee, Washington State Senate
The Agriculture, Water, Natural Resources & Parks Committee is a standing committee of the Washington State Senate.
Per Section V of the Senate Rules, committees of the Washington State Senate are appointed by the President of the Senate and confirmed by the senate.[1] Committees are responsible for considering measures referred to them in the interest of the state.[2] The deliberations of committees considering a vote on any bill, resolution, or memorial must be open to the public.[3]

Function
The Agriculture, Water, Natural Resources & Parks Committee considers topics including, but not limited to:
“ | issues relating to agricultural production, marketing, and sales. The committee looks at water issues, including water quantity and municipal water. The committee has oversight over matters relating to fish and wildlife, as well as mining, forest practices and forest fire protection. The committee also considers parks and recreation and issues relating to aquatic lands and the management of certain state owned lands.[4][5] | ” |
